Joshua Miller is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, MD, and the editor of The Good Society. He also writes at the anotherpanacea blog.
Dr. Miller’s primary research is on civic engagement and citizenship, especially in the work of Hannah Arendt, and he is currently writing on the social impact of mass incarceration, the general theory of remedies, the role of urbanization and the rhetoric of the city, and the possibility of providing a basic income guarantee for everyone in society.
He has co-taught Games and Game Design and Violence with Daniel Levine and in the past has taught Big Ideas, and a class on Hannah Arendt, Thinking Between Past and Future. He is also the director of the Prison Scholars Program.
